Employees with 15 years of seniority will no longer receive the minimum wage differentiated.
As of 1 January 2019, according to a governmental decision, the gross minimum wage will increase from 1,900 to 2,080 lei. On the other hand, the net minimum wage will also register for the next month an increase of 101 lei compared to the current net salary, reaching 1,263 lei. The measure will increase the wages of over 2.1 million employees.
As far as the differentiated minimum wage is concerned, it will remain valid only for university graduates and only under certain conditions.
